As construction work progresses at the Castle Activity and Fitness Centre, the footpath linking the old ‘dry side’ and Albion Street car park with the existing swimming pool will be closed to the public from next week (Monday 26 October).
While the route may occasionally reopen for short periods, visitors should be aware that closures will be necessary throughout the remainder of the project, through to the new Centre’s opening in early 2027.
When the path is closed, clear signage will direct pedestrians and cyclists via the alternative route through The Green and Westlode Street.
